Habitat ReStore Building Front
Habitat ReStore
911 Marquis Road, Prince Albert SK
(306) 763-7463
The Habitat ReStore, formerly The Recycle Store, has proven to be another successful program for RBDC. The ReStore collects used, or “experienced,” household and building materials for sale toward future building projects. The store is operated in conjunction with Habitat for Humanity and first opened its doors in the spring of 2002. Since then, it has moved to a larger location on Marquis Road.

The store employs a number of people and provides them with job skills and experience. The store’s deconstruction crew has recycled building materials around the city (the Avenue Hotel on Central Ave. and the former McDonald’s on Second Ave. for example), as well as a number of cabins, schools and garages.

Deconstruction of Prince Charles School
To help mange the amount of waste that is taken to the landfill, The ReStore salvages materials from projects that they are contracted to “De-Construct.”
